Our services
Individual Therapy
Our individual therapy sessions provide a nurturing and safe space for self-discovery. Sessions will help you name emotional triggers, learn how to tolerate discomfort, learn to stay mindful and look at options, and act confidently so that you can engage with your own experience and others in new ways. We sit with the nuances of life and move through the inevitable and challenging parts of our existence, learning to respond adaptively and confidently. Our priority is helping you reach your mental health goals in the most deep, meaningful, and sustainable ways.
Couples Therapy
Our couples therapy provides a dedicated space for partners to openly communicate, learn practical tools for constructive conflict, foster a deeper understanding of one another, and enhance emotional intimacy. Our approach to couples therapy incorporates both Gottman Method and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). Through guided conversations and skill-building exercises, couples will gain insights into their communication patterns, practice vulnerability, understand attachment needs, and develop a stronger sense of connection and empathy for one another.

DBT helps people change behavioral, emotional, thinking, and interpersonal patterns that are causing distress. It is helpful for people who have difficulty in regulating emotions and behavior.
Mindfulness: helps you accept what is happening and move through it without too much attachment to difficult thoughts and emotions, learning to “walk the middle path” or in other words, not live in any extremes.
Distress Tolerance: helps equip you with skills for a crisis or for when emotions become intense and overwhelming.
Emotion Regulation: helps you change responses to difficult emotions, reduce vulnerability to the emotion mind.
Interpersonal Effectiveness: helps you enter interpersonal situations skillfully, build relationship effectiveness, and maintain healthy relationships.

This therapy model views each person as having various inner "parts" – some that protect us and others that carry wounds. These parts can get stuck in extreme roles. We also have a core "Self" that is inherently capable of healing. IFS helps us access this Self so we can understand and heal our parts, leading to greater inner harmony and stronger connections with others.

This therapy is focused on understanding recurring, underlying life patterns more deeply. We dig into the past to understand how it informs the present.
-
We follow evidence-based interventions and models of human functioning, one of them being Attachment Theory. We may notice consistent patterns in our relationships but don’t know why they repeat. Our earliest relationships can create models for ways of relating to others and we may consistently engage in the same way. In therapy, we look at how the past informs the present, we acknowledge our attachment needs, and create new adaptive responses.
Our specialties
-
Anxiety can manifest as intrusive thoughts, constant worry, rapid heart rate, light-headed sensations, and avoidance. If you often feel stuck in ruminative thoughts about feared outcomes and it’s interfering with your everyday life, our therapy can help with finding relief, developing coping strategies, and reclaiming your sense of peace.
-
Depression is so much more than feeling down. It can look like isolation, lack of motivation, numbness, irritability, or feeling disconnected from yourself.
We look at key dysfunctional cognitions, emotions, and behaviors associated with depression. A part of depression can be a negative view of self, the world, and the future (i.e. I’m not enough). We understand how the meaning of events earlier in life can lead to the development of certain assumptions and coping strategies. We work on generating alternative interpretations to situations and alternative choices so that you can feel less stuck.

We support people going through dating, marriage, separation/divorce, friendship stress, challenging family dynamics, and life transitions. Our therapy addresses emotional intimacy, vulnerability, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, conflict resolution, and healing of relational wounds.

Sessions incorporate evidence-based therapeutic approaches for perinatal mental health as well as therapeutic tools to address symptoms. We identify additional resources for clients depending on their specific needs.
The perinatal period can be a mixed bag of emotions. Perhaps you are navigating changes in identity, role transitions, perfectionism, conflict with partner, grief and loss, hormonal changes, and more. Therapy can help you adapt to this new role. We support individuals struggling with perinatal and postpartum anxiety or depression and general stress.

OCD is characterized by distressing, recurrent obsessions (intrusive thoughts, urges, or images) and/or compulsions (repetitive behaviors or mental acts) performed to alleviate the resulting anxiety, ultimately consuming time and causing significant distress. Drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention, we focus on tolerating discomfort, responding rather than reacting, and approaching feared situations skillfully.
-
Living in today’s complex and fast-paced world can be a challenge. Perhaps you are going through a life transition or trying to keep up with social demands and work deadlines. Stress can lead to maladaptive behaviors, comparison, and feeling like we are drowning emotionally. Our therapy will help you build insight, create a sense of safety within, and learn new ways of responding to the same difficult feelings.
-
Living with a chronic illness can feel isolating and lonely. While chronic illnesses vary widely, they share an unpredictability. Our therapy can help you remain emotionally balanced, cope with physical discomfort, and lead a values-driven life.
